Philip Salamone

episode image
This week I meet painter Philip Salamone

One interesting thing I find out in this conversation... my studio is literally across the street from his and we have never met before. So I'm glad I got a chance to talk to him. Philip's work is all over town, including the "Faces of Incarceration" exhibit at the Overture Center. He teaches at both the University of Wisconsin - Madison and also has classes at his studio, the Atwood Atelier.

Audio lag.

Seriously, every time we try doing a band thing online we continue to spend most of it fixing issues. But he was eventually able to record his part.

I recently posted about how we had to say good-bye to our family dog spike in my daily comic. And Vicki Liu, an artist that I follow on Instagram reached out to me and did one of the nicest things ever. She painted a portrait of our dog and gave it to me.
