Building My Webcomic Audience Without Amazon KDP
Building a Comic Audience Without Amazon KDP
After Amazon permanently shut down my KDP account, I decided I’m relying on just rebuilding on anyone else’s platform.
This week, I launched the creator-owned distribution stack for my comics — the same philosophy I used to build the audience for my band, Lorenzo’s Music on the Fediverse and YouTube, updated for 2026.
What’s live now:
- Ko-fi store with Book 1 of “Then This Happened…” and Book 1 of “Bobert and the Monster”
- Landing page on homemadecartoons.com with PDF and CBZ options
- RSS email newsletter to follow the comics
You can find the new landing page I made for my first book, “Then This Happened… A Diary About Breast Cancer,” in the box below.
Then This Happened... A Diary About Breast Cancer
The comic that started this series. A personal diary story about fear, love, and resilience. Now available as PDF and CBZ
