Creating a lyric video

How I made a lyric video from an old news segment I found. I needed a lyric video for my song "Friction tango" I recently created a lyric video for a song I released, and I wanted to share a post about how I did it. When my band,  Lorenzo's Music , promotes a song, we usually make three different videos for it: an audio video, a music video, and a lyric video.

Making sounds on my weekly music stream

Each week, I do a live music stream with my band, Lorenzo's Music, on our YouTube channel. Here is a clip from the show performing the song "Friction world" from our recent album release. Watch the full episode here -  Lorenzo's Music: The Live & Unfiltered Show Or subscribe to the channel to get notified when we go live each week Lorenzo's Music YouTube Channel

Having fun on my band's live music stream

My band, Lorenzo's Music , does a live show every week from our studio. We play our songs and also work on new stuff during band practice, all live! So, the other day, our drummer was out of town. Right when we started the show, we realized his snare drum had this crazy buzzing sound 'cause the snares were on. We had to figure out how to switch 'em off.

My song "Why did I" Featured In An Independent 8-bit Horror RPG

via - lorenzosmusic.com My band's song "Why Did I" from our Rom-Comm Mixtape is featured in the indie game Hypocrite, a retro-style horror RPG! This game has a unique 8-bit aesthetic and is designed as a horror RPG walkthrough. Our song is used during a scene when the main character searches through an eerie, house house. One of the developers, responsible for setting the tone in these scenes, integrated "Why Did I" in a really cool subtle way. You can play the game "Hypocrite" on itch.io

Turning Some Live Stream Audio Into A Song

Crafting a New Song: An Experimental Approach This is a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process of developing a new song for my band, Lorenzo's Music . I delve into how I'm transforming the audio from an old live stream songwriting session into a new song. I also explore how we leverage open-source tools like Audacity , Ardour , and Ubuntu Studio to craft music and how we use GitHub for an experimental approach to band collaboration.

What hit me in the head?

I do a live music and talk stream with my band called " Lorenzo's Music The Live & Unfiltered Show " on our YouTube channel. This is a clip from the show, after one of the songs our bass player Cliff Says "What the hell hit me in the head?" Turns out one of the metal rods on the brushes Rob our drummer uses flew off and nailed Cliff in the head while he was playing. 🤣

Could take for years

I am continuing my experiment of releasing new music every month. I just released this song called "Could take for years" with my band Lorenzo's Music .

This producer told me why he always sets limits when starting a song

As I continue to explore new musical avenues with my band Lorenzo's Music , our latest album " Lorenzo's Remixes, Volume 1 ", has led us down the path of... well, remixes of course.

Band practice live stream.

As musicians, we're so used to people only seeing the end result. I think showing the messy process can be just as interesting. You can check out the live practice shows on YouTube here .

Building a Creator Community Through Live Interaction

The video above is a repurposed edit of an Instagram livestream I made for our YouTube channel. I released a new remix album with my band, Lorenzo's Music, and wanted to promote it while highlighting the artists involved. I decided to feature a song each week on social accounts and YouTube and conduct Instagram Live interviews with the remixers on Mondays. The interviews allow me to learn about remixing techniques and songwriting, and the videos can be repurposed as reels, YouTube content, and podcast episodes. This promotional strategy is helping me build an audience for the album and make connections with other musicians. I recently released a new album with my band Lorenzo's Music called " Lorenzo's Remixes, Volume 1. " It's a compilation of some of our songs remixed by us and other talented artists I met on our music podcast . This is our first full album release in a while – for the past year, we've been dropping singles one by one. While we love tha...

Live Music Video! Friction called quest

Still doing good on my goal to release a new song each month. Along with writing and recording the songs my band Lorenzo's Music also records a live video of the song in our studio. This live video is of our song "Friction called quest" . We have a three-camera set up in our studio that we can switch as we perform, but the intro of this song has so much going on that I had to do a split screen to show all five of us.

New song! Variation witch

Keeping up with my plan to release new music every month.  This time around I venture into the punk blues realm. Sort of a mixture of The Black Keys and The Eels . This is a song called "Variation witch" by my band Lorenzo's Music .  The cover art is actually an antique top that I have in my collection. What I liked about it was the striped disc kind of like something in a Tim Burton film.

New song! "Rainy day friction"

How I work on writing and recording music - Behind-the-scenes video

I know I talk to artists on the podcast and draw a webcomic. But truth be told the thing I work on the most is writing and recording music with my band Lorenzo's Music . We released a song called " Friction world " which is a theme track to a movie soundtrack project we're working on. This video is about the making of that song. In the video We talk about how the song came about from a music loop library we were working on during the shutdown. We also show the process of recording the song and rearranging it in our studio. Listen to Friction world on Spotify

Friction world: Theme to a movie soundtrack I've been working on

I've been working on a big music project with my band Lorenzo's Music . It's available on Spotify Apple Music YouTube Music Amazon Music Bandcamp This is a song called Friction world that we released that is part of a movie soundtrack project I'm working on. Here is a recent review of the song: Friction world by Lorenzo's Music is a song that captures the mood of an indie film. The song is a variation of the same core melody that the band is using for a film project. The song has a gritty and raw sound that reflects the story with dirty guitar and broken drums and bass with interludes of French horn and violin.  The vocals are growling and longing, expressing the feeling of being lost and alone in a cold, dark, and gray world. The lyrics are simple but effective, conveying a sense of nostalgia and regret for the things that got old and far away.  The song is released under a creative commons license, which means that anyone can use, copy, redistribute, adapt, remi...
